Lesson Times: Forté recommends 30-minute weekly lesson times for Beginner students, 40-minute weekly lesson time for Intermediate students and 50 minutes (or longer) for advanced students. The lesson duration can be modified anytime upon request.
Billing: Students are provided 46 private lessons per calendar year (one lesson each week except when the Academy is closed for holiday/break). The cost of tuition of divided by twelve and billing is made in equal amounts each month. After enrollment, tuition is paid with automatic monthly recurring payments.

Re-Scheduling a Missed Lesson: If a student will miss a weekly lesson, the lesson can be rescheduled if advance notice is provided (by 9:00am mountain time on the day of the lesson in case of unexpected illness). Advance notice of a missed lesson shall be provided by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or telephone 303-948-9221 (please leave a voice message if needed). If the referenced advance notice is not provided the lesson is forfeited. If advance notice is provided, the student’s online account will be credited a make-up pass valid until 60 days of the missed lesson date. It is the responsibility of the student or guardian to contact FAM to re-schedule the lesson. After 60 days, the make-up pass will expire. FAM will make every effort to accommodate the student’s schedule for re-scheduling. The lesson will be re-scheduled with the regular teacher (or another teacher if needed). If there is no availability or times that work for the student’s schedule, the lesson will be forfeited. This policy shall also apply if a student will also miss two or three consecutive lessons and sufficient advance notice is provided.
Extended Absence / Vacation Policy (4 or more Missed Consecutive Lessons): If a student will miss 4 or more consecutive weeks of lessons due to vacation or other reason, students may place a hold on their lesson plans for up to three months. The request must be made by completing the Student Vacation Form found on FAM’s website (Student Access Page). The form can be submitted as soon as vacation plans are known (and no later than 10 days before the student’s monthly billing date). Students may view their monthly billing date by accessing their online account with FAM. FAM agrees to hold the weekly lesson time for up to three months for the student. The student or guardian agrees to pay a deposit of $100 to hold the weekly lesson time. The deposit will be applied to the student’s monthly tuition payment upon his/her return.
Enrollment Withdrawal: A student or guardian may submit a request for enrollment withdrawal by completing the online form found on FAM’s website (Student Access Page). The form shall be submitted as soon as withdrawal intentions are known (and at least 10 days before the student’s monthly billing date). Without this notice, an additional month’s tuition will be charged. Students may view their monthly billing date by accessing their online account with FAM.
Weather Policy: In FAM’s 20+ year history, it has rarely closed due to inclement weather. In the event FAM is closed due to inclement weather, FAM will provide notice to each student/guardian by email and telephone. Student’s can also verify schedules by viewing their online account with FAM. In the event of FAM’s closure due to inclement weather, each student will be provided a make-up pass and the missed lesson shall be rescheduled according to the Missed Lesson Policy shown above.
Substitute / Alternative Teacher: The Academy may provide a substitute teacher if the regular teacher is ill or otherwise unable to attend a lesson. If a substitute cannot be arranged, any missed lessons will be re-scheduled per the Missed Lesson Policy shown above. FAM reserves the right to place the student with another instructor at any time.
Medical Release: Adult students and parents and/or legal guardians of minor students waive any and all claims of liability, release and hold FAM harmless including its staff and teachers in the event that an injury may occur. In the event of accident or injury, when parent, legal guardian or emergency contact information is not available, permission is given to FAM to seek medical attention, if needed.
Photo Release: FAM is granted permission to take photographs and videos of students for use in promotional materials and copyright such material in its name. The student, parent and/or guardian reserves the right to request that FAM remove any picture or video from its promotional materials. Such requests shall be directed in writing by email to email@example.com.
